Mike Little
Mike Little is a British software developer who co-founded WordPress with Matt Mullenweg. Born in 1962, Little began his career as a software developer in the UK.
Little’s significant contribution to the development of WordPress lies in his collaboration with Mullenweg to create the initial version of the platform. In 2003, when Mullenweg was seeking a platform to continue the development of his blog after b2/cafelog became inactive, Little joined forces with him to create what would become WordPress. Their collaboration resulted in the release of WordPress 0.7 in May 2003.
While Little’s involvement in WordPress was instrumental in its early stages, he has maintained a lower public profile compared to Mullenweg. However, his contribution to the creation of WordPress remains a crucial part of the platform’s history.
After co-founding WordPress, Little continued to work in the software development field, although he shifted his focus away from WordPress development. Despite this, his role in the creation of one of the world’s most popular content management systems is widely acknowledged.
